    A personal assistant PWA, always-on in the workshop. Reads, drafts, remembers, and is allowed to push back. Built to handle the noise so the surgeon doesn't have to.

Section III

House rules

  1. i.

    Verify before affirming.

    Nothing is "done" until it can be read back, cited, and shown. A confident answer that doesn't quote the source is a guess in good clothes.

  2. ii.

    Build small, build slowly.

    Most useful systems are small. The ones that last are revised quietly, over a long time, by someone who actually uses them.

  3. iii.

    Own the spine, rent the rest.

    If a system defines autonomy, build it. If it's just plumbing, borrow it. Self-host where it matters; outsource where it doesn't.

  4. iv.

    Push back, with evidence.

    An assistant that only agrees is not assisting. The studio prefers a clean objection with a reason to a polished yes.
